The agency of Dijon – one of the 4 MASE certified agencies of ATALIAN Security in France (Lille, Le Havre, Marseille) – is proud to have had its MASE certification (Manual for the Improvement of Company Safety) renewed for a period of 3 years. This rigorous certification demonstrates ATALIAN Security’s commitment to continuous improvement and its performance in controlling the health and safety of its employees.
Emmanuel TETE, our QSE Project Manager, whose work made this renewal possible and who agreed to answer our questions in an exclusive interview……
Introduce yourself in a few words…
I joined the ATALIAN Group 3 years ago and I am now in charge of the QSE France-Benelux department. I am involved in all the business lines, but in particular in the Cleaning and Safety divisions, where I am responsible for managing QSE systems and preparing entities for the renewal of QSE and CSR certificates (ISO 9001, 45001, 14001, MASE, ECOVADIS).
The Safety division recently renewed its MASE certification, why is this important for the Group?
Ensuring the health and safety of employees is one of the priority CSR issues for the ATALIAN Group. While it is a question of complying with the requirements of the French Labour Code, it is above all a question of preventing work-related accidents and illnesses among our employees. To do this, we deploy organisations, resources and methodologies whose optimal management enables us to minimise professional risks and reduce direct and indirect costs for employees and for our entities. The MASE remains a benchmark in France in the field of Health and Safety in companies.
Furthermore, the MASE pays particular attention to the involvement of all employees (managers and employees) in the occupational risk prevention process.
Thus, the role of managers in the definition of OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) objectives, in the definition of processes, in the identification and correction of malfunctions is just as important as the active participation of employees in the respect of safety instructions, in the identification of dangerous situations and in the reporting of relevant information.
The end result is to judge the level of safety culture of the employees and ATALIAN Security can be proud of this success.
What can it provide for our customers?
Like ATALIAN, most of our customers are also committed to sustainable development and have Health and Safety objectives to achieve. Their OHS results sometimes depend on the OHS performance of their subcontractors. MASE certification is therefore a guarantee of the subcontractor’s OHS control and performance. It thus represents a means of ATALIAN’s adherence to the client’s Health and Safety values.
The MASE (Manual for the Improvement of Company Safety) is the safety management standard in France. It provides guarantees in terms of the management of professional risks within structures working for user companies. MASE certification consists of providing proof that a continuous improvement system has been set up within the company.
